Question regarding job description for my resume…?

Question by emilbus33: Question regarding job description for my resume…?
does this sound okay

Marketing Coordinator
Help members of the organization move their business forward with marketing advise and consulting. Design, layout, copy write, and edit 12-page monthly newsletter and weekly e-newsletter. Create all marketing materials for events and seminars as well as invitations, logos, and program books. Update and manage website with content management tools. Assist event coordinator in planning social networking events for area businesses.

Best answer:

Answer by treat faerie
Yes, that’s good

I might switch the sentence about “create all marketing materials” with the one “update and mange website”. Mostly because the last sentence has to do with events and that would group the events concept together instead of splitting them up.

I don’t see anything that really needs to be cut out but it’s kind of a long job description. If you can think of what is redundant or two things that can be said at once you could tighten it up

I wouldn’t go for it, it doesn’t sound legitimate. Email the person back and ask some questions to see what they say. I would investiagate this company on my own to see. But I would have to go with no.

Do you think these people in Virginia Beach should be arrested for harboring and aiding illegal aliens?

Question by Sci Fi Fan: Do you think these people in Virginia Beach should be arrested for harboring and aiding illegal aliens?
VA group enabling those who hire illegal aliens

A common sight in Virginia Beach (sanctuary city)
APLast weekend, the Virginia Horticultural Foundation held a workshop geared towards owners of landscape companies entitled “Spanish for the Green Industry.” During the seminar held in Virginia Beach, instructors led their classes in basic Spanish lessons as well as Latin American culture.

VHF education coordinator, Dawn Alleman told the Virginian-Pilot they began offering the course four years ago because the workforce for the landscaping industry is dominated by those who speak only Spanish.

Alleman said: “If you want to be a foreman in those types of places, you’ve got to have a decent grasp of Spanish.”

One of the attendees, Tom Ritter, owner of Ritter Grounds Maintenance in Norfolk, VA, took the class so that he might be able to speak to his workers for the first time in ten years without the help of a translator.

Ritter said: “I just want to be able to communicate with them on a day-to-day basis.”

Course instructor, Yolima Carr, passed out a book she has written to the class which contains English-to-Spanish phrases which might be helpful to landscapers, such as: “Take out the weeds in the flower bed, edge the bed, then blow the leaves and the clippings.”

She reminded the business owners that the ‘immigrants’ working for them are from their homes and families, and that because of their Catholic beliefs, may need certain days off.

Carr, who is the gardens curator at the Hermitage Museum in Norfolk, suggested that the workers be allowed to play Mexican music, and should be complimented on their work (“Hiciste un buen trabajo”).

Attendees paid $ 160 each for the five hour class.

This is yet one more example of those who fail to see the need to hire U.S. citizens, when an illegal alien will do it for less. That philosophy may go a long way in lining the pockets of unscrupulous employers, but in a time when so many Americans have been laid off, it is just shy of treason.

By the way, the group offering the class, the Virginia Horticultural Foundation, operates as a non-profit and as such enjoys tax-exempt status. The class was given at the Founder’s Inn, Christian Broadcasting Network founder Pat Robertson’s hotel and resort.
PLEASE! EVERYONE! Report “norskeyenta2″ aka “Mando” or whatever he changes his name to! His RACIAL SLURS are insulting to ALL!

Question by cheesyberry2: I am planning on being an MUN conference page and….?
Do you think it would be too hard if I did it for two committees(both about four hours long) on one day with a 45 minute break in between and another shift on saturday? Cuz heres the thing- my bros SG and since my parents are conference coordinators, Im gonna be stuck there all day if Im gonna do a shift, so should I just do the two shifts on one day, or would it be too much? I have the option on the next day, but I am really focused on the two-shift day, please help and thanks!

Answer by Rick
Everything depends on your interest in the subject of the conference.
If you are not interested – maybe 4 hours in one day will allow you to assimilate the information better.

Question by shajaratalhayat2000: I need millions of emails address for my database of engineers as we have a conference >communicat?
I am a coordinator for a conference and want to collect emails address. My audience and target are engineers and business.

Answer by Answer Man
Sending out unsolicited e-mails is considered to be spam. If you wish to purchase a list of e-mail addresses from people who have agreed to receive targeted e-mail then you can buy e-mail lists from most list brokers who sell mail lists to advertisers.

My suggestion would be to purchase advertising space in e-mail newsletters that are targeted to your group of interest. You can find them here: http://www.ezinelocater.com/

Once you have located a e-zine that you’re interested in just contact them and ask them to quote you for running your ad.

Where can I find a sample agreement used when hiring a conference event coordinator?

Question by mellie: Where can I find a sample agreement used when hiring a conference event coordinator?
Our church is planning a 25th anniversary celebration and have decided to hire an event planner, we need to know what the terms & conditions should be in the contract as well as any pertinent documents we should ask for

Best answer:

Answer by Angelina
In the contract you must be specific about what the event planner can expect from your church (such as will anything be supplied by the church or will he/she be in charge of making all purchases, and how much and by what means will you pay him/her). It should also go into detail about what the event planner is supposed to do along with how much he/she agrees to be paid for services rendered. It should also list a budget and any specifics you want for your event. As for any documents you should ask for from the event planner – make sure you get all receipts on money spent on the event – and if he/she subcontracts anyone else for services (such as food, any entertainment) – that you get a copy of these contracts as well

I recently finised softball and the coach gave us all certificates. Each person got a different “award” written on the certificate. I got all around infield award because I played all around the infield. My friend got golden glove award because she always seemed to get the ball. So this way every one will get a special “award” and everyone can feel good about themselves because no one will get the same award.
